About

Exeter University A Cappella Society is a vibrant student community based around voices-only singing, made up of 8 vocal groups. As well as providing fantastic musical opportunities for our members in the form of regular workshops and concerts, we also form a fun and welcoming community, with regular socials ranging from pub crawls and club nights to sophisticated balls and boat parties.

As a registered society in the University of Exeter’s Students’ Guild with over 150 members, we are one of the biggest, fastest growing and most diverse music societies on campus. Our 8 groups vary greatly in style: from award-winning contemporary groups like the all-male Semi-Toned and all-female Sweet Nothings, to classical groups like Madrigals and Harmonics, to larger groups like Take Note, we have something for everyone. As well as the Guild, A Cappella society works closely with other societies on campus, both musical and non-musical, whether by hosting joint concerts or providing professional entertainment at events.

Our groups also have a strong presence in the wider community of Exeter, and are available for booking at all sorts of events whether it’s in front of thousands at the local football stadium, guests at corporate and cultural events, or to packed out local venues for live entertainment nights.
